What to do in Aruba

Check out these rare trees growing right on the sand on Eagle Beach. It's also worth noting that these aren't the real Divi-divi trees — they're mis-marked on Google maps — but they're still pretty fun to look at and worth seeing! The true Divi-divi trees can also be seen when driving around, particularly in San Nicolas. They were almost completely curved in one direction, and they only develop on Aruba!

This cave is visited by some of the Jeep tours in Arikok National Park, and it is much cooler than I thought! You will even see light rays going down if you arrive at the right time of day. If you want to see this, go around midday. You can either drive yourself in a 4x4 or book a tour that includes this stop as well as the Natural Pool.

Aruba has some excellent swimming. It isn't the best in the world, but with such a wide range of dive sites that can be reached in shallow water and not far from shore, I was pleasantly surprised! Aruba also has a number of shipwrecks, including a helicopter! Though you can freedive to them, as seen above, you can also book scuba dives to the wrecks.
